check him out - - TimBergmann is his name. tell everyone you can, would be my advice!!!  you never know who will all of a sudden be by your side wanting to help you out and doing so humbly soas not to be more bother than good. i expect you'll find people who pull away too -- this is not fun, but is a possible truth as not everyone knows how to deal with adversity!!  but i have seen both -- those who you never expected to stand with you (even if they are fewer, they can be really powerful!!) -- and those who pull away suddenly. those really, really hurt in the short run, but don't allow the hurt to turn to bitterness -- you have enough to deal with without it!!!  thanx for the comment!!! Keep looking up!!! :)

Thanks for your question. I can't say that it is something I have much experience with, (as I am not able to have a transplant at this time) - though I can definitely relate to the part about not wanting to feel dependent on somebody else.
Are you comfortable posting a new discussion about the topic?... Maybe others who have been down this path will be able to weigh in on the topic. I know we have both many donors and recipients on the site.

Thanks for sharing. I can't imagine that the waiting is easy. Please feel free to share your experiences on the site, or questions if you have any. I'm sure that there are many members who can relate, and would be happy to chat. I myself have been on hemo dialysis for 9 years.

How to handle wife

Posted on September 27, 2014 at 1:12 5 Comments

I am having trouble with my home life. Please help.

My story. Diagnosed with IgA nephropathy about 20 years ago. Now, my GFR is about 15. doctors have told me to try hold on as long as possibly without doing transplant. However, I have 3 young boys aged 1,5,5. They require a lot of energy. My wife has unrealistic expectations from me as I need to sleep lots. She gets frustrated with me, and says I should get the transplant now. Any thoughts?
