"No he doesn’t. I take Amlodipine, Terazosin, and Coversyl. I used to take very high dosages before transplant of a lot of different bp meds now of the three that I take the dosages are very small in comparison."

"I have high blood pressure and high cholesterol too.  Speak to your kidney specialist about seeing a dietitian. They can help. In you can research a high blood pressure diet even though you don’t have high blood pressure it will help…"

"Hi! I saw your post regarding IgA nephropathy. I've been diagnosed with the same disease last 2016. I was 26 years old by that time and my current gfr is on 38% . How many years before you had to be in dialysis?"

Introducing myself

My name is Tom Harper. I was diagnosed with IGA Nephropathy in 2002. I was medically released from the military in 2008 for this condition.I started hemo dialysis on April of 2016 and later switched to peritoneal dialysis. I tried the machine but I did not drain well and switch to doing twin bag PD. I just received a kidney on 7 Dec 2017.I am currently in the recovery process and I am going nuts.
